Mental Health Therapist

The Mental Health Therapist provides individual and group therapy for clients with mental health and behavioral concerns. The therapist develops personalized interventions, supports clients in building coping skills, and works with the care team to promote progress and well-being.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy tailored to each client's needs.

• Help clients build coping skills, manage stress, and improve emotional well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention and support when clients experience emotional distress.

• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and families about mental health, coping, and wellness.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical providers, case managers, and other team members.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely clinical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy to clients with varied mental health concerns.

• Knowledge of evidence-based approaches and the ability to tailor care to the individual.

• Strong rapport-building, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and organized clinical practice, including electronic health-record documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Therapists provide services in person and may also provide telehealth. Some flexibility, including occasional evening or weekend availability, may be needed to meet client needs.
